Wiseman Hall Surgical Services
The ULAR Experimental Surgery core is located in Wiseman Hall. The core has a full-time staff of veterinary technicians, state of the art operating rooms, and associated support areas such as pharmacy, prep, and post-op recovery. Extensive surgical support equipment such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and laparoscopic setups are available for use in the suite. A variety of animals such as pigs, dogs, rabbits, and sheep are routinely used for surgical animal models of heart failure, wound healing, GI disease, etc…In addition, the core supports an extensive training program for health professionals from all over the world.
