Animal Facilities
Polaris
The 2001 Polaris animal facility is located 12 miles north of main campus. It contains barrier and sterile rodent rooms – each with a dedicated procedure room located in the rear of the room. This facility contains a necropsy room and a clean/dirty wash including a tunnel and rack washer as well as an autoclave. Reverse osmosis (RO) water is used in this facility. This facility is a rodent-only facility and primarily serves the Comprehensive Cancer Center which is part of the College of Medicine.
