Polaris Animal Facility

The Polaris Animal Facility, located 12 miles north of Ohio State’s main campus, primarily serves the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This rodent-only facility contains:

  • sterile and barrier rodent rooms (each with dedicated procedure room)
  • necropsy
  • a clean/dirty cage wash (tunnel, rack washer, and autoclave)
  • reverse osmosis (RO) water
