Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
Please see the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) guidance for the completion of an animal use protocol. This link will provide IACUC contact information, protocol deadlines, downloadable forms, and examples.
Veterinary Involvement
All animal use protocols are required to have veterinary review prior to submission to the IACUC. ULAR veterinarians are available for consultation during the entire animal use approval process. Protocols can be submitted electronically to ularvet@osu.edu or can be provided directly to the ULAR veterinarian for your facility.
The College of Medicine and the College of Veterinary Medicine have developed subcommittees to assist in the protocol review process. A ULAR veterinarian participates in this review and will provide the final signature.
