Animal Facility Access
Specific training must be completed before access is granted to ULAR animal facilities. In addition, individuals must be listed on an approved animal care and use protocol. Please see the following link for further instructions
How To Obtain Animals
Following approval of the animal care and use protocol, animals may be ordered from commercial sources or may be imported from other universities. Both procedures are referred to as animal requisition. Please follow the following link for more information
How To Transfer Animals
ULAR animal transfer guidelines must be followed for facility transfers (internal movement) as well as protocol to protocol animal transfers.
ULAR also coordinates the movement of animals from The Ohio State University to other institutions (i.e. exportation).
